The Creative Mornings video series

Over the break, while pottering around on the computer (particularly on those ridiculously HOT days where I felt confined to the 1x1m space directly underneath our airconditioning vent!), I caught up on a lot of these videos from Creative Mornings.

Creative Mornings was founded by the ever-awesome creative ideas lady Tina Roth Eisenberg, also known as Swiss Miss. I'm a fan! Tina started Creative Mornings in September of 2009 wanting to create an accessible, inspring morning talk series. The format was so popular that thanks to a team of enthusiastic volunteers, Creative Mornings have sprung up in many cities around the world.

Luckily for us, most of the presentations are collated on the website in video format. Here are a few of my favourites from the NYC series. Take a gander at the Creative Mornings website and find your own favourites!

Debbie Millman from NYC CreativeMornings on Vimeo.

Debbie's talk offers tips and advice for new/graduate and junior graphic designers.

Emily Cohen from NYC CreativeMornings on Vimeo.

Emily has been a consultant to creative professionals for over 20 years providing advice on staff, client, and process-management strategies, conducting client surveys and writing winning proposals, creative briefs, and contracts. Her Creative Mornings talk was insightful and filled with hands-on tips.

Alissa Walker | Gelatobaby from LosAngeles/ CreativeMornings on Vimeo.

Alissa LOVES gelato. Like, obsession love. And she gives an engaging presentation about doing what you are obsessed with for work, and chanelling that obsession to make it successful. I also like how she advocates public transport travel in a very car-centric city, and how this fuels her creative inspiration.

Thanks, Tina, for being such an inspiration to me and bringing us international fans this video series! :)
