Creative Women's Circle ~ Brisbane Artisan Exhibition Tour + Morning Tea

  • Artisan 45 King Street Bowen Hills Queensland (map)

Join the Brisbane Creative Women’s Circle members Jo Hoban and Anna Hewlett (Bump-in Co) for morning tea and a guided exhibition tour of the new Artisan space in King Street featuring their latest exhibition.

Queensland's home of craft and design, Artisan supports Australian craftspeople and designers and promotes the wonderful work being created in our community.

Members and non-members are invited to come together with other local creatives to discuss what you're working on while getting to know each other a little better. Artisan will provide a guided tour of the current ceramic exhibitions of Pru Morrison and Sharon Muir and morning tea will be provided by Wine&Dine'm Catering.

This is an open event to all, but places are limited so book your spot now. Hope to see you there!

Members $5, non-members $20

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Pru Morrison - YESTERDAY'S FAVOURITE

Yesterday’s Favourite honours the two decades of making that have made Pru Morrison one of our community’s most skilled studio potters. With strong technical ability and her trademark wit, Pru comments on Australian politics, history and familiar national identities.

Sharon Muir - SCENES FOR HEARTS AND FLOWERS / Small Object Space

The instant appeal of Sharon Muir’s retail ceramic collection have made her a popular Brisbane craft identity. Scenes for Hearts and Flowers profiles her distinctly different exhibition practice, where familiar bric-a-brac are reimagined in small ceramic sculptures that evoke sentimentality and wonder.
